Expressing Understanding Through Teaching Improves Metacognition Regulation

Insight: Metacognition develops through an increasing awareness of thoughts and feelings. The more awareness increases, the better we're able to plan to increase that awareness even further. It ends up being a flywheel effect.

The Feynman Technique helps increase awareness of the unknown, of what we don't know we don't know a.k.a. the opposite of awareness. By leveraging, metacognition frameworks and expressing our own understanding to others, we're better able to identify the gaps in knowledge and make a plan to bridge those gaps.
